Hello!

My name is Julian Picard, and I’m a graduate student at the MIT Plasma Science and Fusion Center. I love creative technical work anchored by real-world constraints and deliverables. View some of my research below!

Since beginning graduate school in 2016, I have studied microwave sources for particle acceleration with Dr. Richard Temkin.
As a research engineer from 2012 to 2016, I worked on the design and fabrication of high-voltage pulsed power supplies for research applications.
Beginning in 2009, my student research as an undergraduate focused on plasma-based space propulsion and modeling of exoplanet space plasmas.
